I am delighted to announce Textile Trails’ 2022 Tour of Bhutan!
Recently I was invited to give a presentation as part of a panel discussion hosted by Weave a Real Peace.
I have just released a series of 9 free videos on the basics of weaving kushutara on a backstrap loom.
Continue readingI came home from Bhutan in October with a few more pieces to add to my collection. The most special to me of these is a kera (belt) woven and worn by my monk friend.
Textile Trails’ 2019 tour of Bhutan was scheduled to coincide with three festivals and to give even greater opportunities for immersion and hands-on learning.
As ever, we were warmly welcomed by our Bhutanese hosts across the country.
I closed out 2018 sharing the textile & culture of Bhutan with a wonderful group of travellers who joined me on Textile Trail’s tour.
